Mint-Cilantro Chicken
This is a prize winning dish from Chicken Fest in office :) I like mint-cilantro chutney and decided to make chicken with it.
Ingredients:
2 pound Boneless chicken pieces
5-6 green chillies (to taste)
Bunch of Mint leaves
Bunch of Cilantro leaves
6 cloves garlic
1/4 inch ginger
1 Lemon
3 tbsp yogurt
2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 Onion cut in big square pieces
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Blend green chillies,mint,cilantro,garlic,ginger,lemon,salt together in a blender.
2. Wash chicken throughly. Marinade with yoghurt and the mint-cilantro paste. Add turmeric powder, black pepper, salt. Set aside for couple hours.
3. Pour oil in a pan. Add onions and saute on medium-high heat till they turn transparent.
4. Add the marinated chicken and saute for about 20-25 minutes or till when the chicken cooks.
5. Remove from heat and serve hot. Can be served as an appetizer.
