Pizza from scratch

The "Stay At Home" order extends to the end of May in Ohio. The kids generally eat pizza at birthday party or school. I never have to make it since it is so readily available. Now that school and kids activities are shut down, it has been a while the kids ate pizza. I made it last time with the ready made crust. The kids are demanding pizza and I do not feel like ordering from outside due to health concern. We do not have yeast at home so trying to make with baking powder and other ingredients available at home. The kids helped roll the pizza dough and add sauce and toppings of choice. My recipe is below.

Ingredients:

Pizza dough:

1 1/3 cups unbleached white flour

1 tsp baking powder

2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 cup warm milk

1/2 tsp Salt

2 tsp garlic powder

Pizza:

PAM spray

Marinara /Pizza sauce

Vegetable toppings of choice (red, orange, yellow peppers, onions, spinach, jalapeno peppers)

Mozzarella cheese

Method:

1. In a bowl, mix the white flour and all above ingredients. When it becomes soft and does not touch your hands and feels like play dough, you should be good.

2. Let stand for 10 minutes at least.

3. Take a ball of dough and roll it in circular pizza thickness of choice. You can check out my pictures.

4. Meanwhile preheat oven to 400 F.

5. When pizza dough is rolled, add marinara sauce and toppings of choice. Add mozzarella cheese.

6. Coat oven tray with aluminium foil and spray with PAM.

7. Bake the pizza for 30-35 minutes.

Serve hot and Enjoy! The kids loved it and so did my husband!
