Crispy Aloo Chaat

We were invited to potluck party last month and I needed to make a appetizer/chaat dish. When I think about chaat it is always pav bhaji, shev puri, bhel, pani puri, ragda pattice. I thought of making something different this time. I came up with the Indian spicy version of crispy potato wedges.

Ingredients:

4 medium to big potatoes

5-6 Jalepeno peppers

5-6 cloves garlic

1/4 inch ginger

Cilantro leaves

1.5 tbsp Mint powder

1.5 tbsp Cumin powder

1 tbsp Cilantro powder

2 tbsp Red Chilli powder

6 tbsp Oil

2 tbsp Salt

1 tsp Black pepper

1 tbsp Red chili flakes

1 tsp amchur powder

1/2 white onion small cut

Method:

1. Deep fry the potatoes in pan. Alternatively, stir fry them. Both of them tastes good. When the potatoes turn golden brown, keep them aside.

2. Take 2 tbsp oil in pan and add cut garlic, ginger and Jalepeno peppers to it. Stir fry for few minutes. Keep aside.

3. Add stir fried potatoes to it. Add mint powder, cumin powder, cilantro powder, amchur powder, pepper, red chili powder, chili flakes, cilantro leaves, cut onion. Toss.

4. Serve hot.
