Tandulache ghavan (Rice buttermilk pancakes)
Tandulache ghavan is a maharashtrian dish, my favorite evening snack or early dinner. I loved this dish that mom made since childhood. My 2 year old is getting picky now so have to come up with alternatives to feed her everyday. My 4 year old son and my husband loved this dish as much as I do.
Ingredients:
1.5 cup Rice flour
2 cups buttermilk
1 cup water
2 tbsp Moong flour
1 tbsp Rava
5 cloves garlic finely chopped
2 tbsp cumin seeds
bunch cilantro
1 tbsp oil
pinch Asofoeida
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Mix all ingredients above in a bowl till its a smooth batter.
2. Take oil in pan and turn on heat till pan is hot.
3. Use a spoon to make thin rice pancakes by spreading batter on pan,
4. Wait for 2 minutes till the sides start coming off.
5. Turn the pancake side using spatula and cook for another 1 min.
6. Serve hot with ghee, yogurt and red hot chutney or pickle of choice.
Enjoy!
