Chicken 65! (Indo - chinese)

Coronation break !!!! - The kids are having fun at home !! With our busy schedules never get a chance to stay at home like this! They have started asking about school and classes now and ask when can they go! Well, reading the news, difficult to say when !? They are missing out on swimming, soccer, art class, piano and ballet! That gives me more time on hand on hand so can complete Surya namaskar and Zumba and also cook some of my favorites!












Ingredients:

1 lbs chicken cut into cubes

1 egg white

1/2 cup corn flour

4-5 red chilly cut into bite size pieces

2 jalapeno/serrano pepper slit into pieces (optional)

4-5 cloves garlic

1/8 inch organic ginger

2 tbsp olive oil/ peanut oil tastes better

4 tbsp soya sauce

1.5 tbsp tomato ketchup

2 tsp red chilly color powder

1 tsp vinegar

2 tbsp yogurt

5-6 curry leaves

handful chopped cilantro

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp mustard seeds

pinch asafoetida

Salt to taste

Method:

1. Marinate the chicken cubes in soya sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar,1 egg white, garlic, ginger crushed, red chilly powder for atleast half hour.

2. Take 2 tbsp oil in pan and add the chicken cubes dipped in corn flour. Let turn golden brown and remove from heat.

3. Meanwhile, create paste of garlic, red chilly powder, red color(optional), yogurt, cilantro, mint(optional).

4. In a wok, heat 2 tbsp oil, add cumin, mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, add red chillies, green chilly. Let sputter. Add chicken and stir fry.

5. After 2-5 minutes, add the sauce above.

4. Garnish with cilantro.

5. Serve hot with noodles or rice.
