Garlic Kulcha (Baked White flour bread)
Inspired by Indian restaurant style Kulcha that love to at with Punjabi curries, I tried to make it myself! Here is my own version of the recipe!
Ingredients:
2 cups white flour
1/3 cup warm water
1/3 cup water warm
4 tbsp Sooji
4 tsp vegetable oil
4 tsp Salt to taste
2 tsp sugar
white flour for dusting
2 cloves garlic fine cut
handful cilantro fine cut
2 tsp black sesame seeds
Method:
1. In a bowl, mix the white flour and all above ingredients. Add warm water and milk and make soft dough. When it becomes soft and does not touch your hands and feels like play dough, you should be good. The quantity of milk and water might change as needed. I apply some oil say 2 tsp to it.
2. Let stand for overnight. If you do not have time, can keep about 4-6 hrs in warm weather.
3. Heat a pan.
4. Mean while, roll circular kulcha.
5. Add fine cut garlic, cilantro and sesame seeds on it.
6. On medium - high heat, bake the kulcha on pan each side for 1-2 minutes till cooked.
7. Serve hot with any curry of choice!
Enjoy!
