Strawberry Almond Chia smoothie!

Wednesday evening smoothie before the kids and hubby go to do the yard work for watering the trees and vegetables. This morning the kids ate their lucky charms cereal and resisted smoothie. I had soaked almond and chia in Vitamix and cleaned and cut the strawberrries.


Ingredients:

20-25 strawberry (5-8 per person)

12 almonds

1 tbsp Chia seeds

1 apple

1 cups Coconut water

1/2 cup cubed ice

Protein powder (1 tbsp per person for adults and kids above 4) - optional. If add nuts, not needed.

Vitamix mixer

Method:

1. Soak almonds and chia for 2 hours atleast and add to vitamix.

2. Add cleaned fruits to Vitamix mixer

2. Add ice, coconut water to Vitamix mixer. If coconut water is not available add water.

3. Turn the smoothie mode on and smoothie is ready is 2-3 minutes!
