Ragda Pattice

Good old school days! My mom used to make this on my birthday when friends came over!! I like to pair it Rose Falooda or vanilla Falooda during the summer days! I am making this so the kids can try. The kids loved this!


Ingredients:

For family of 4 to eat once with extra servings below is recipe

Pattice

8 potato

1 cup bread crums

Vegetable oil for frying

Chaat masala

Read chilly powder

Salt to taste

Ragda

1 cup yellow vatana

6-7 cloves garlic

2 tsp garam masala

4 tbsp oil

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp mustard seeds

1 tsp turmeric powder

asafoetida

salt to taste

Garnish

Onion cut finely

bunch cilantro leaves finely chopped

Shev

Tamarind chutney

Mint- chilly chutney

Method:

1. Boil the potatoes and remove the skin

2. Mash them with masher

3. Add salt, chaat masala, chilly powder to taste. Make round pattice and deep in bread crums. Pan fry for 2-3 minutes till golden brown on both sides.

4. Heat oil in IP and add cumin, mustard. Let the seeds sputter. Add pinch asafoetida and turmeric powder.

5. Add garlic crushed. Add garlic spring if available.

6. Add soaked vatana and garam masala and Pressure Cook on High for 45 minutes and let natural release.

7. In a bowl, add 2-3 pattice and ragda on it.

8. Serve hot with tamarind/mint chutney , shev and onions and cilantro.
